Local Lodge 1916 Lodge 1916 was chartered in 1947, changing from Lodge 1696 when GE X-Ray Corp. moved to Milwaukee, WI from Chicago, IL. The first Officers were elected in 1948 and the first recorded shop committee coming in 1949. Lodge 1916 is part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Through our International Union, we are in the mainstream of the trade union movement through our affiliation with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) and with the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) in Canada. |
